These terms govern your use of the Stop Excuses website and software. Stop Excuses organizes accountability between friends. It does not judge whether proof is true, and it never holds or moves money.
The website and the beta
Stop Excuses is in private beta and self-serve: anyone can start. Signing up on the website registers your interest and creates your account when you sign in. It does not charge you and does not guarantee anything about future features or availability. The optional updates list only keeps you posted.
No money through the app
No money is held by Stop Excuses. Settle outside the app. Payment is for software access only. Any consequence between participants is recorded as a shared ledger entry and settled directly between you, never by Stop Excuses.
Private and invite-only
Challenges are private and invite-only. Proof you upload is visible only to the participants of the same challenge. There is no public discovery, profile or feed.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for the challenges and consequences you create and the ones you accept. You agree to keep every challenge and consequence safe and friendly, and not to create anything dangerous, harmful or humiliating.
Limitation of liability
Stop Excuses is not liable for the content of the challenges, proof or consequences that participants create or accept, nor for any dangerous or humiliating consequence. The software and website are provided as is; features, timing and availability may change. You use the software at your own risk and within the law.
Acceptable use
Use Stop Excuses only with an email address you control, and only for genuine challenges between people who agreed to take part. Do not submit unlawful, misleading or abusive content, and do not try to reach challenges you were not invited to.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands.
