This policy explains what Stop Excuses collects, why, and what your rights are, both on this website (including the beta signup) and inside the product app. Stop Excuses is a service of Grebit B.V.
What we collect
On the website: your email address, and optionally your name, a challenge idea, your language and the date you signed up. In the app: your account email, display name, timezone and language, plus the proof and notes you add inside a challenge. We never collect payment card details, and proof stays private to its challenge.
Why we use it
We use website signups, with your consent (GDPR/AVG art. 6(1)(a)), to give you access and keep you posted. We use your account and challenge data to run the challenges you take part in (to perform our agreement with you). We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising or automated decision-making.
Who processes it
We use a small set of processors to run the service: Supabase (database, authentication and private file storage), Resend (transactional email) and PostHog (privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics). We never send proof, photos, message text, dispute reasons, names or emails to analytics. Proof files live in a private store reachable only by participants of the same challenge.
How long we keep it
We keep website signup data until the beta concludes or you ask us to delete it. We keep account and challenge data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data and proof media are removed; a challenge's shared ledger may keep an anonymized record so the group's history stays intact.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, or withdraw your consent, at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
